River Ridge Farm
Is owned and operated by Rose Ann Snell. Miss Rosie is a former 4H Club Leader and US Pony Club Instructor and has been giving lessons at the "barn" for over 35 years. River Ridge is not only her business, but her home and she takes great pride and passion with what she has done to make her facility safe, comfortable, fun and friendly!
The History of the Farm
Rosie first purchased the farm land and added her home in 1970. Later that same year, she built seven covered stalls to shelter her first seven horses.
As the next few years past, Rosie added the paddock, the first jumping rink, more equestrian friends and more lesson students. As her student count grew, she added an elevated, shaded viewing area which over looks the rink.
With the help of her son, Jimmy, she built several sheltered kennels for her hand-raised "ranch" dog breeding passion. The on-going sale of her pups helps Rosie maintain the cost of the horse feed through-out the entire year! Jimmy and friends also helped Rosie build an English tack room and a Western Tack room with bathroom facilities.
After her lesson program grew even larger, Rosie added sprinklers and ground equipment to help control dust during riding sessions. She also added arena lighting and hitching-post lighting.
February 2006-Rosie's old hay-wagon/golf cart finally gave up....Welcome to: the new River Ridge John Deere "GATOR"! What a way to transport the hay......!!!
Spring of 2006-(With the help and support of Tom and Val) A THIRD Tack supply room was added to the facility complete with electricity and even a "Message Board" for the teens!
SPRING OF 2008--NEW ARENA DUST CONTROL AND EXPANDED WATERING SYSTEM ADDED (Due to a generous donation of barn friends--Thank you!) Miss Rosie now has full arena automatic sprinklers and expanded fresh water to to her schooling ponies--with increased water pressure too!

Miss Colle : Miss Rosie's Assistant Lesson and Horsemanship Instructor. Miss Colle has trained under Miss Rosie for many years and she is available for lessons and horsemanship instruction upon request and by contacting Miss Rosie. Colle is also a boarder and trains and competes as one of "Miss Rosie's Stars" (Schooling show participant).
Kelly Webster-Miller: Miss Rosie's Webmaster and E-mail correspondent. Kelly also is the unofficial "barn photographer", a boarder and owner of Miss Rosie's former "Knot-Head" Freebird's ECHO <A.K.A. The fuzzy-monkey-carrot-man" with the silly ears!>
We also have our faithful "family" volunteers. (You all know who you are!) Without all of you to help with the daily chores, how would Rosie cope??? Thank you, one and all! (YOU ARE APPRECIATED!!)
